Plateau Creek Ranch is 535± acres situated on the Western Slope of Colorado, just outside of the small town of Collbran. The ranch has a charming remodeled 1,282± square foot farmhouse offering the perfect getaway. The house consists of 2 bedrooms, 1 bath with a detached 2 car garage, and would make for a nice cabin or hunting retreat.

The topography of Plateau Creek Ranch is relatively gentle for a mountain property making the entire ranch extremely accessible to people and hunters of all ages. The scrub oak brush provides an excellent source of cover and feed for both deer and black bears. The ranch also has water rights to irrigate the lowland pastures luring in multiple species of game.

Elk hunting on the ranch is nothing short of incredible. The ranch backs up to over 2,800+ acres of landlocked BLM. This region of Colorado is known for its high elk populations offering hunters an excellent chance of harvesting both bull and cow elk. Located in game management unit 421, over-the-counter elk tags are available for archery, 2nd rifle, and 3rd rifle season. Unit 421 is classified as a List B unit which means depending on the season you are hunting; a hunter can harvest an additional antlerless elk so opportunities to harvest 2 elk per hunter are possible. Other species found on the ranch include Merriam turkeys, mountain lion, coyote, and bobcat.

Plateau Creek flows through nearly the entire ranch giving you access to nearly 3/4 mile of both sides of the creek. Plateau Creek is known for an early runoff that can hold some great trout fishing and the creek is a tributary of the Colorado River.

The surrounding area is an outdoor enthusiast's dream. Enjoy downhill skiing at Powderhorn Mountain Resort, camping on the Grand Mesa, fishing in Vega State Reservoir, horseback riding the numerous trails in the area, and of course, big game hunting for elk, mule deer, and bear on your private hunting retreat.
